Welcome to explore the 112-year-old Kallio Church tower. By climbing the 273 steps of this national romantic landmark, you will get to see Helsinki from a completely new perspective. The visits' age limit is 18 years. You are required to read the safety instructions before your visit, you can access them here.

The tour lasts approximately 40 minutes. The tour is very inaccessible, and there is no elevator.

  • 14th of August: Night of the Arts, tower open from 6PM to 10PM

  • 7th of September: 113th birthday of Kallio Church, tower open from 12PM to 6PM

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Safety: By reserving a ticket, you agree to comply with the safety instructions. Access the safety guidelines here. If you reserve a ticket for multiple people, ensure that they are also aware of the safety instructions.

Arrival: Arrive for the tower tour through the door at the south end of Kallio Church, which is the door on the tower side. The door says KAHVILA - SAKARISTO.

Availability: If a date on the calendar is marked in red, there are no more available tickets for tours on that day.

Accessibility: if you arrive with an interpreter (e.g. sign language) or personal assistant, please let us know in advance by sending an email to kallio.kirkontorni@evl.fi. Interpreters and assistants are admitted free of charge, but must have a reserved seat. For safety reasons, it is not possible to bring an assistance or guide dog. Other aids should be agreed in advance on a case-by-case basis. For accessibility and safety reasons, all visitors must climb the tower on their own two feet.

Cancellations: Climbing the tower is strictly prohibited during thunder and storms. Rain won't cancel the tower tour. If bad weather cancels the tour, we will contact you by text message as soon as possible. Please make sure your phone number is correct.
