Price includes 1 person.

Welcome to explore the 112-year-old Kallio Church tower. By climbing the 273 steps of this national romantic landmark, you will get to see Helsinki from a completely new perspective.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

If a date on the calendar is marked in red, there are no more available tickets for tours on that day, or the tours have not yet been opened for booking. Tours will become available for booking gradually throughout the summer until September. It is worth checking the situation again later.

Climbing the tower is strictly prohibited during thunderstorms and strong winds. A regular rain won't prevent the tower tour. If bad weather prevents the tour, we will contact those who have booked a tour by text message as soon as possible. Please make sure your phone number is correct.

If you have bought a ticket and cannot attend the tour, please cancel your participation by sending an email to kallio.kirkontorni@evl.fi or a text message to 0503454126.

Arrive for the tower tour through the door at the south end of Kallio Church, which is the door on the tower side. The door says KAHVILA - SAKARISTO. The door opens 15 minutes before the tour starts.

For private tours: you can inquire them via email at kirkko.kalliontorni(at)evl.fi. The minimum price for a private tour is €140 per tour (includes tickets for 10 persons).

By reserving a ticket, you agree to comply with the safety instructions below! If you reserve a ticket for multiple people, ensure that they are also aware of the safety instructions

Safety instructions of the tower of Kallio Church:

If you're gaining access to the tower, whether through ticket purchase or another means, it's important to follow these safety guidelines:

  • Visitors move in the church tower at their own risk.

  • Admission to the tower is restricted to adults (aged 18 and over) and requires adequate physical and mental capacity. The tower guide has a right to assess visitors' suitability for entry.

  • Large bags and backpacks are to be left in a separate area during the visit. Due to the different stair materials, walking in high heels is a safety risk.

  • Visits are made in groups of a maximum of ten people, accompanied by two guides. This ensures safety in situations where, for example, a group member needs to end the tour early.

  • Visitors are expected to behave appropriately to secure the well-being of others. Kallio Parish follows the principles of a safer environment.

  • Visitors are liable for any damage caused to the property and its surroundings. Nothing may be thrown down from the tower.

  • In the event of any unusual occurrences during the tower visit, all communication will be handled by the authorities and the parish.

The routes are primarily maintenance routes. The Kallio Church tower has been opened for tourism in consultation with the Helsinki Rescue Department and the property department of Church in Helsinki.
